Frequently Asked Questions

Everything worth knowing before you sit in the chair — pricing, the design process, the deposit, preparation, and aftercare. Anything still unclear? Email the studio and we answer you personally.

How much does a tattoo cost?

The final price depends on several things: the style and level of detail, the size of the piece, and where on the body it goes. To get a number for your idea, fill out the form on the booking page and the studio will consult you. For any additional information, email us — the address is in the booking section.

How is the design created?

We discuss your concept, references, and the first sketch over chat, at an in-person consultation, or on a video call. The final design is created together on the day of your appointment. That lets the artist work directly with your anatomy, size, and placement while making adjustments with you in real time — the process becomes faster and more accurate, and the result comes out better.

Why is a deposit required to book?

A deposit confirms your intention to get the tattoo. It allows the studio to start working on the sketch and to block out the time for your session. The deposit is non-refundable, but it can be kept on your account if you reschedule your session at least 7 days before the scheduled date.

Can I walk in without an appointment?

Yes — walk-ins are welcome. The studio is open 11am–7pm and closed on Mondays. For a custom piece, sending your idea through the booking form first is still the better option: the right artist and enough time get set aside for you.

How should I prepare for a session?

A little preparation makes the session more comfortable and helps the tattoo heal well:

  • Skin care in advance. Apply sunscreen to the area you will be tattooed, or keep it moisturised, for 5–7 days before your session. Prepared skin takes the work better.
  • Aftercare products. Buy paper towels, paper tape, and La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Baume B5 cream in advance, so everything is at home before you leave the studio.
  • No alcohol or drugs. You may not consume alcohol, marijuana, or other drugs in the 24 hours prior to your session. Do not come to your session intoxicated — it affects the process and the end result.
How do I take care of a new tattoo?

Follow these steps — they matter a lot for proper healing:

  • Washing. Before washing your tattoo, wash your hands thoroughly. Use only regular liquid hand soap: clean the tattoo gently, then rinse with clean water. Dry it with a paper towel by patting — do not rub.
  • Care. Apply a good layer of La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Baume B5 on the dry tattoo, then cover it with three layers of clean paper towels and secure them with paper tape. Do not use plastic or cling film — it causes sweating and inflammation.
  • Repeat. Do this 3–4 times a day: washing, drying, cream, cover. Keep the tattoo covered at night for the first 4 nights.
  • Moisturising. After 4 nights you can stop covering it. Keep moisturising the tattoo with the same cream until it stops peeling or drying out.
What should I avoid while it heals?

Once a tattoo has been applied, it is prohibited to do sports for 7 days, and to swim in the pool or open water, visit the sauna, or sunbathe for 14 days. Follow this and the tattoo heals clean and the lines stay sharp.

Do I need to bring an ID?

Yes. Every client fills out and signs the studio consent form and provides a copy of a valid government photo ID before the first session. It keeps the studio and every client safe and keeps our records in line with North Carolina shop requirements.
